In 1985 Symon Grant began smoking salmon in a small fishing town bordering Scotland,
Maryport, in Cumbria, England and so founded Grants Smokehouse.
In the early years Grants gained considerable recognition within the wholesale market and over the last 30 years business
has grown substantially with sales to customers in food service, food manufacturing and retail in the U.K., Europe, Asia and the U.S.A.
With state of the art machinery guaranteeing consistent and efficiently smoked products together with our laser assisted
slicing machines producing perfect cuts every time, we are at the leading edge of our industry.
Our 40,000 square feet production facility in Maryport, Cumbria is one of the most modern smoking facilities in the
U.K. and we are positioned to supply the finest Scottish Salmon to a diversity of markets
